Wake Up Earlier

Who said you always have to work from 9 - 5? Those truly are the worst hours to work. The first tip to staying productive working from home is to wake up earlier. Honestly I’m writing this post at 5:05 AM right now because not only is it quiet, but for me, my focus is elevated in the mornings. For anyone who has kids, this approach seems to improve productivity immensely.

Drink Water Religiously

The importance of hydration is very overlooked. It is imperative to drink enough water so that we are operating at full brain power. Dehydration can lead the mind into unproductively extremely quickly. If plain water doesn’t appeal to you then try a product that we at Supji have be using called LMNT (Referral Link). These electrolyte salt sticks will elevate your tastebuds and catch you up on hydration fast.

Set Reminders on Devices

Either on a phone or computer (or both) set up reminders so that staying on track throughout the work day becomes easier. Keep track of your work load or off-work load. Begin small, don’t bite off more than you can chew with 20+ reminders just start off with three and see where that leads.

Working Out In Some Form

Moving the body is more important than people think. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health.” If you are someone who is busy with children then just do some pushups and crunches. A little bit goes a long way and you should notice the mind clearing a bit to help with productivity.

Music Playlist

Music is a very driving force for many people that are trying to elevate their productivity working from home. However music definitely has a tone to it (pun intended). Sometimes it’s good to switch up the music and find out the genre that will boost productivity. Create a playlist on a streaming service or even on YouTube and find out what works better.
